Overview

Josh’s key practice areas are Commercial/Conveyancing, Wills/Powers of Attorney/Enduring Guardianship, Family and Criminal/Traffic law.

Josh grew up in the Grafton area and studied nearby at Southern Cross University’s Lismore and Gold Coast campuses, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws in 2014.

Josh’s path to legal practice was somewhat unusual, he did not commence practising law until joining PGH Solicitors in 2018. Instead, working in the construction sector for several years on major infrastructure projects.

Since joining PGH solicitors, Josh has developed a diverse legal experience across several areas of law, tailored to the needs of the Clarence Valley community.

Areas of expertise

Commercial law/Conveyancing

Josh has amassed a significant breadth of experience in conveyancing, overseeing hundreds of conveyancing transactions per year with the assistance of Legal Secretaries Petra Munro and Madison Nicholl.

Josh has advocated for both the Lessee (tenant) and Lessor (landlord) in a multitude of lease matters, ranging from small retail shop leases to high-profile commercial premises.

Josh also has experience dealing with the Land Registry Office concerning the removal, modification and registration of covenants, restrictions on use, easements and the like.

Family Law

Josh has a passion for dispute resolution and works with families to reach a just and equitable outcome in property matters and in parenting matters he strives to advance the best interests of children.

Having a blended family of his own, Josh understands that each and every family dynamic is different and accordingly, each case is different from the last.

Josh can assist you with:

  1. Sole or joint divorce applications;
  2. Property settlements;
  3. Parenting matters; and
  4. Child support agreements.

Criminal/Traffic Law

Josh has been appearing for clients in the criminal jurisdiction since being admitted to practice in 2018.

Josh has a range of experience in criminal law, including representing clients in traffic offences and licence appeals, to domestic violence, robbery and other more serious allegations in both the Local and District courts.

Josh has experience with preparing and presenting matters for hearing, sentence, bail, section 14/ section 20bq applications and negotiating with Police or the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on behalf of clients.
